Wingstop Adds Boneless Wings to the Menu

Wingstop, the chicken wing chain that redefined wings as a center-of-the-plate item, has introduced Boneless Wings in restaurants nationwide.

The boneless wings are 100 percent all-white meat, battered and breaded in Wingstop’s proprietary recipe, and like Wingstop’s bone-in wings and boneless strips, can be sauced and tossed in all nine wing flavors.

Wingstop first introduced boneless strips in 2006, which increased the chain’s appeal with women and children and today account for 12 to 15 percent of sales. Andy Howard, executive vice president of marketing and research and development said the introduction of boneless wings will not replace boneless strips, but add another menu option for guests.

“A major differentiator of boneless wings from boneless strips is that the boneless wings can be mixed and matched with our regular bone-in wings,” said Howard. “If a guest orders 20 wings, they can get 10 regular and 10 boneless, which offers greater variety at the same price point.”

Boneless wings were originally tested in restaurants in the Houston, Denver and Las Vegas markets last fall. Research found that boneless wing purchases grew each period while bone-in wing sales steadily increased.

“Our testing has shown that sales are strong for boneless wings and guests appreciate the option to mix and match, especially with large family packs and combos,” said Howard. “Bone-in wings and boneless strips continue to perform well, and we feel that our guests have an appetite for all three options.”

Boneless wings are available for purchase À la carte at 10, 20, 35, 50 or 100 pieces, and are also available in combination and family packs. Boneless wings are expected to be in all 420 Wingstop restaurants by Sept. 1, in time for football season, Wingstop’s busiest time of year.

About Wingstop
Wingstop offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings. Wingstop features nine wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are cooked-to-order and customers can also choose from homemade side dishes including fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, potato salad, creamy cole slaw, vegetable sticks, rolls and assorted dipping sauces. Wingstop has received an American Business Award for Best Overall Company and was chosen Wing King at the 2006 National Buffalo Wing Festival. Troy Aikman, three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame quarterback, has served as the chain’s national spokesman since 2003.
TASTI D-LITE INKS MASTER FRANCHISE AGREEMENT FOR MEXICO

Tasti D-Lite, the great-tasting, lower-calorie frozen dessert chain with a cult following among health-conscious consumers as well as celebrities, is prepared to make its mark in Mexico. The first Tasti D-Lite center will open before the end of the year in Mexico City.

Samuel Tarrab is the master franchisee behind the brand’s ambitious expansion into Mexico – which includes 10 new stores within the next two years – and comes to Tasti D-Lite with more than 20 years in commerce, manufacturing and retail operations. According to Tarrab, Tasti D-Lite’s unique products impressed him immediately and he felt the brand would be the perfect product to both promote and capitalize on the growing focus on healthful eating among local residents.

“People love ice cream here but they need some guidance when it comes to maintaining a balanced diet,” said Tarrab, 39. “With nearly 70 percent of the population being overweight, Mexico is one of the world’s ‘largest’ countries. But through Tasti D-Lite, we can educate people on just how easy it is to make good dietary choices while at the same time giving them a delicious treat and a fun store experience.”

Since its inception in 1987, Tasti D-Lite’s popularity has grown largely by word of mouth and has resulted in a huge base of raving fans who line up day and night to get their favorite guilt-free treat, available in more than 100 flavors. With Tasti D-Lite, health-conscious individuals can enjoy a dessert that is significantly lower in fat, calories and carbs than ice cream. Thanks to unsolicited international exposure on TV shows such as “Sex and the City” and “The Apprentice” along with new store openings, demand for the brand has grown worldwide. Tasti D-Lite is now poised for growth throughout the U.S. and in major international markets – including Mexico – with plans to build a global 500-center franchise network through a combination of single- and multi-unit franchises, area developers and international master franchises.

Tasti D-Lite first launched its franchise program in 2008. Since then, the company has grown to more than 50 locations and has secured commitments to open over 300 locations in the coming years. This year, Tasti D-Lite has already opened new stores in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, New York and New Jersey and expects additional expansion into Arizona, Connecticut and California by the end of the year. Internationally, the company plans to build on its presence in South Korea and is targeting further growth into new international markets. Led by a world-class operating team, the company is undertaking a program of accelerated store growth, product innovation, customer engagement and service excellence.

“We are extremely excited to be entering the Latin American market with a franchisee with great business experience and a true passion for Tasti D-Lite,” said Jim Amos, Tasti D-Lite’s chairman and CEO. “The movement toward being active and eating a healthier diet are clearly global trends. We’re confident Samuel and the rest of his management team will capitalize on this opportunity and build the same kind of loyal customer base we’ve established in the United States.”
Junk King seeks to collect huge market share in booming junk removal industry

Remove all the clutter of the past year’s economic mess and it’s clear that junk removal is among the few service franchises that survived the turmoil unscathed.

Despite the economic downturn, Junk King has experienced a steady increase in profits. Company executives attribute the growth to former do-it-yourselfers who would rather hire professionals than risk injury from lifting heavy items or damaging walls and floors when moving.

Junk King’s growing network of franchisees is “cleaning house” in the multi-billion dollar junk removal and hauling industry where millions of people are constantly looking for dependable service to clear clutter and unwanted items from their homes and businesses. Focusing on superior service and attention to detail, Junk King boasts nine locations throughout the San Francisco Bay area, with company plans calling for an additional 10 franchises throughout California and 35-50 nationwide by the end of 2012.

“Everyone has clutter and unwanted items, but few have the time or ability to dispose of it properly,” said Michael Andreacchi, Co-Founder of Junk King. “Whether residential customers with two incomes and little time to clean out their garage or a single mother in need of turning an unused storage room into a home office, there is a demand for the service Junk King provides.”

Founded in 2005 by childhood friends Michael Andreacchi and Brian Reardon, Junk King has redefined junk removal by putting the focus on superior service and attention. With trucks that are 20 percent bigger than most other junk removal companies, the burgeoning franchise works with homeowners, realtors, property managers, and business owners in meeting their junk hauling needs, removing everything from old furniture and appliances to yard waste and garden refuse, fencing and lumber to tires and automotive parts. Customers simply point to what needs to be removed and Junk King loads it onto the truck, sweeps the area clean and drives away.

“We’ve succeeded where others have failed because we pay attention to detail,” added Reardon. “We want a lasting relationship with our customers by exceeding their expectations and gaining their trust through excellent performance.”

Junk King is also passionate about the environment and proud of its reputation as an advocate for residential and commercial recycling. Junk King recycles up to 60 percent of what they pick up, saving tons of waste from local landfills each year.

To augment the company’s growth, Junk King is currently seeking single and multi-unit franchisees with a strong desire to develop an emerging concept in a high-growth industry. With a franchise fee of $25,000, the total investment to own and operate a Junk King franchise in an exclusive territory is $100,000.

Franchisees are guaranteed first-year revenues of $125,000 or their money back. “If our franchisees do not achieve a minimum revenue goal of $125,000 in their first 12 months of business, we will refund 100 percent of their franchise fee and allow them to return their franchise,” Andreacchi said.

ABOUT JUNK KING
Founded in 2005, Junk King has become America’s fastest-growing, full-service junk removal franchise concept, meeting the demand for affordable and dependable service to clear clutter and unwanted items from homes and businesses. With nine locations currently opened and operating nationwide, Junk King is filling a niche in local marketplaces across the U.S. and has announced plans to grow nationwide with 35-50 service locations by the end of 2012. Headquartered in San Carlos, CA, Junk King’s rates are guaranteed to beat the competitions with 100% s

Wingstop Receives Restaurants and Institutions' Consumers' Choice in Chains Award

Wingstop, the chicken wing chain that sells more than one million wings daily, also ranks among the elite when it comes to customer satisfaction, according to Restaurants & Institutions. Wingstop received the publication’s Consumers’ Choice in Chains Silver Award in the chicken category. The announcement was made during a ceremony August 17 at The Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point, Calf.

The Consumers' Choice in Chains awards are voted on by consumers and winners are named in 13 menu categories based on scores given to each restaurant chain. In the study, 3,000 consumers were asked to rate nearly 120 chain restaurants on eight customer-satisfaction attributes: food quality, menu variety, value, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, reputation and convenience.

“The R&I Consumers' Choice in Chains award is a people's choice award that sends a powerful message to the industry and beyond," said Dan Hogan, Restaurants & Institutions' publisher. "The attributes Wingstop demonstrates clearly set them apart from others in the chicken segment."

“Wingstop is incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Jim Flynn, president and CEO of Wingstop. “We take great pride in guest satisfaction and would like to especially acknowledge the hard work and dedication or our Brand Partners – our network of franchisees, our crew members and our corporate team.”

Wingstop was founded in 1994, began franchising in 1997, and today Wingstop has more than 650 locations open or under development nationwide. In July Wingstop reached 24 quarters, or six consecutive years, of positive comp store sales.

Bookkeeping Express 'Balances' Las Vegas' Small Business' Need for Certified Services

Bookkeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, announced today the opening of its first office in Las Vegas and across the state. The new office is located at 9550 S. Eastern Ave. in Henderson, and will primarily service the Metropolitan Las Vegas and Henderson communities.

“I am thrilled about providing professional bookkeeping services to the Metropolitan Las Vegas and Henderson communities. A void exists locally for skilled bookkeeping services that focus on the small business community,” said Kevin Finley, owner of the new Bookkeeping Express office. “As an entrepreneur, I am excited about becoming part of the Bookkeeping Express family and utilizing the brand’s experience in the industry and their proven business model to help small business owners focus on growing their business.”

Finley’s professional experience includes more than 15 years with the Gaming Control Board, where he currently serves as the Deputy Chief of the Tax and License Division. He has been with the Tax and License Division since 1998 and before that worked as an agent in the Audit Division. Finley is following his entrepreneurial dreams to become a business owner with his investment in the Bookkeeping Express business. Finley has been a Certified Public Accountant in Nevada since 1997, and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner.

With more than 73,000 small businesses in the Las Vegas area, Bookkeeping Express offers a much-needed service to companies that are not equipped or do not wish to handle accounting responsibilities such as setting up charts of accounts and general ledgers, monthly data entry, processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, producing monthly reports and tax reporting. Plus, Bookkeeping Express utilizes a Custom Flex Pricing Model that is based on the clients’ needs instead of a one fits all, hourly billing approach.

The expansion into the Las Vegas area is part of the company’s aggressive national franchise development strategy, which calls for more than 400 new offices. Franchise and corporate locations currently exist in a number of states across the U.S., including: Indiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, and Maryland.

“The small business community is growing in Nevada, and Bookkeeping Express is expanding with it,” said Greg Jones, CEO of Bookkeeping Express and former 1981 Penn State University football team captain. “We are looking to grow with franchise partners such as Kevin who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services.”

As part of the Bookkeeping Express franchise model, all locations will offer the BKE Connect system, which allows businesses access to all bookkeeping files remotely through an outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually ‘sums’ up the business’ operations for thorough analysis. Two options available to Bookkeeping Express investors include Master or Area Development territories that can be operated out of home-based or commercial space locations; per territory start-up fees run under $50,000.

About Bookkeeping Express
Express, a national company focused on providing professional bookkeeping practices to small businesses, was founded in 1984 in California and grew to over 150 locations through licensing agreements. In 2007, Greg Jones, along with Bob Stocker and Merritt Green, purchased the company and launched the new business model in McLean, Virginia in January of 2008. Bookkeeping Express is currently registered to franchise in 41 states.
Wingstop Guests Raise $30,000 for Feeding America during Three-Week Campaign

America’s wings are truly Feeding America. Wingstop recently completed a three-week partnership campaign with Feeding America, collecting $30,000 to benefit the national charity – $5,000 beyond the restaurant chain’s original goal.

Throughout the campaign Wingstop invited guests to donate loose change or any dollar amount in 200 participating restaurants across the country. Through these guest donations Wingstop raised $30,000 which will be used to support Feeding America, the largest charitable domestic hunger-relief organization in the U.S.

Last fall Wingstop selected Feeding America as its national charity of record and committed to provide a minimum of $50,000 annually to the organization. A campaign in late 2008 raised more than $24,000, and, to date, Wingstop Corporate, employees, franchisees and guests have raised more than $54,000, surpassing the first year commitment.

“It just goes to show, that even in a recession, people understand the need to support those who are less fortunate and give back in their local community,” Jim Flynn, president and CEO of Wingstop. “This campaign was truly driven by our guests and employees, and we want to thank them for their generous support and dedication.”

“We are so pleased that Wingstop has stepped forward in such a significant way to help raise funds for the millions of Americans who are now living on the brink of hunger,” said Ross Fraser, spokesperson for Feeding America. “Demand at our food banks is 30 percent higher than it was last year, so this donation has made a real difference.”

The Wingstop restaurant at 1801 Eastchase Parkway in Fort Worth, Texas, a company owned restaurant operated by general manager Guy Campos, collected the most overall dollars at more than $1,900. Other top locations included:

Wingstop at 1420 Missouri Ave. in Las Cruces, owned and operated by Charles Loflin

Wingstop at 3825 Crenshaw Blvd. in Los Angeles, owned and operated by Robin Kirksey and Daniel Griffin

Wingstop at 10841 W. Florissant Ave. in Ferguson, Missouri, operated by Brad Wilemon

Wingstop at 8811 Teel Parkway in Frisco, Texas, company owned and operated by general manager Sonia Barbosa

Feeding America supplies food to more than 25 million Americans each year, and supports approximately 63,000 local charitable agencies that distribute food directly to those in need. Feeding America’s agencies operate more than 70,000 programs including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs, Kids Cafes, Community Kitchens and BackPack Programs.

Wingstop plans to continue its partnership with Feeding America through an online campaign.
USA Insulation Continues to Expand with Four New Franchise Locations

USA Insulation, the only home insulation franchise company in the United States, has recently added four new franchise locations to serve Chicago, IL, Portland, ME, Omaha, NE and the Central New Jersey Area. The new franchisees are taking advantage of an environment in which the demand for home insulation continues to rise due to economic conditions and a need to increase energy efficiency.

Interest in insulation has grown in recent years because of rising energy costs. Homeowners in regions with hot summers and cold winters, like our new Chicago insulation customers are realizing that gas and electric bills are unnecessarily high in homes without proper insulation.

More Americans are aware of the need for energy conservation and consider foam insulation to be an effective method for creating an energy efficient home. A more comfortable, quieter home environment and a higher resale value are also incentives for adding insulation.

"Aside from the typical reasons for insulating a home, many of our new customers have wanted to take advantage of the energy tax credit", says USA Insulation Franchise Corporation President, Patrick Pitrone. "Adding home insulation now can get you a 30 percent federal energy tax credit of up to $1,500."

Each USA Insulation franchise owner is equipped with an exclusive territory, ongoing business, marketing and management training, corporate support, marketing and promotional materials including the use of trademarks and logos, and exclusive use of the USA Foam Insulation product. All of the company's home insulation contractors are trained and certified in the installation process. New franchisees can build their businesses using a proven model and start out with the name recognition and reputation that USA Insulation has built over the past three decades.
