Villager Lodge Recognizes System's Best During Annual Conference

Villager Franchise Systems Inc. today recognized and honored the chain's best personnel and properties at its national conference held at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

The awards recognized exceptional Villager Lodge®, Villager PremierSM and Hearthside by Villager properties and personnel in eight categories for consistently exceeding expectations during 2001, and for serving as examples for the rest of the chain. Brand executives, including Anthony Falor, president & chief executive officer of Villager, presented award winners with commemorative plaques onstage. The following Villager brand personnel and properties were recognized:

• Housekeeper of the Year - Emma Nichols, Villager Lodge Ottawa, KS
• Maintenance Person of the Year - Chuck Rumsey, Villager Lodge Atlanta-Northeast, GA
• Guest Services Representative of the Year - Shewn Price, Villager Lodge San Diego-Gaslamp, CA
• General Manager of the Year - Brenda Adams, Villager Lodge Rockford, IL
• Patriot of the Year - Gerald Deters, Villager Premier Drawbridge Inn, Ft. Mitchell, KY
• Quality Assurance Property of the Year - Villager Lodge Thompson, IL
• Property of the Year - Hearthside by Villager Sugarland, TX
• Franchise of the Year - The owners and operators, respectively, of the Villager Premier Studio Inn Group: Arden Development, led by Jim Bell and Jack Hamilton; and Southeastern Hotel Management (SEHM), led by Matt Young, CHA
