Two Man and a Truck Moving Toward International Expansion

Two Men and a Truck International, Inc., the first and largest local residential and commercial moving Franchise in the United States, is pleased to announce that it is now pursuing international Master Licensees to develop its business concept in selected countries.

With 117 locations, the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® System has grown to become the fifth-largest moving company in the United States. In 2001, the company's 700 trucks completed nearly 200,000 moves resulting in the eighth consecutive year TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® has achieved double-digit growth.

The company has retained William Edwards, President of Edwards Global Services, Inc., to serve as project manager and assist TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® in the international development process. "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® can be successful in its international ventures because companies that are in the best position to expand internationally have simple business concepts and a strong business system", said Edwards. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® INTERNATIONAL, Inc., president Melanie Bergeron, agreed that these are strengths of her company's system. Founder and CEO of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Mary Ellen Sheets, who sits on the International franchise Association's (IFA) Board of Directors, said that Franchising continues to be a successful global business concept. "The IFA has so many programs to assist franchisors in international expansion efforts," Sheets said, specifically mentioning the IFA/BFA International Franchise Symposium on October 9-10 in London, England. Edwards, who also spoke at the symposium, introduced the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® opportunity to the UK and European markets at that time.
