Rainbow International Carpet Care and Restoration Specialist has hired Ed Jones as Director of Restoration at the company's worldwide headquarters in Waco, Texas.

The newly-created position is part of the company's continued focus to specialize in restoration work and services on a national and international level, according to David Bethea, president of Rainbow International.

Jones, who was a manager at Rainbow's headquarters from 1990-93, owned and operated his own restoration company for the last 10 years. His business, EnviroServ, employed more than 40 people and 13 trucks that covered the Central Texas region.

"We are very fortunate to have Ed on our team," Bethea said. "He is a true expert in restoration services, and he is already familiar with Rainbow's Franchise system. He is exactly who we needed to assist in updating and creating operational components to grow the restoration side of our business."

Jones has been spending substantial time in the field with Rainbow franchisees throughout the U.S. and has expanded the already intensive technical training Rainbow offers to new and existing franchises. Beginning with the August class, new franchise owners will leave Rainbow's initial training each month with the hands-on training and testing to receive their IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration. In addition, existing franchise owners and technicians can take advantage of this training at worldwide headquarters each month or plan to attend scheduled IICRC courses that Rainbow holds around the U.S.

Currently, Rainbow International averages more than 50 percent of their system-wide sales in restoration work.
