Mr. Appliance Opens First International Location in Bermuda

Mr. Appliance®, the only Franchise in America for appliance service and repair, has opened its first international location on the island of Bermuda. The franchise owners, Raymond and Marchelle Knight, began operations in April.

"International expansion has always been a goal for Mr. Appliance," said Mike Owens, vice president of operations for Mr. Appliance. "And Bermuda is a perfect location. Its proximity allows for close communications with the corporate office, but it gives us the experience that we need on an international level with an eye on further expansion outside of the United States."

Mr. Appliance, which offers appliance service and repair to the residential and commercial sectors, is planning on good business in Bermuda. The hospitality industry, which is a cornerstone of the country's revenues, cannot afford the inconvenience of broken appliances. Luxury hotels and restaurants specialize in quality service for their customers, and the Mr. Appliance franchise in Bermuda will be a valuable resource to help make that happen, Owens said.

Mr. Appliance is considering further international expansion with Franchise Opportunities in Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and more.

"The maintenance and service sectors are very hot industries," Owens said. "We expect the Mr. Appliance brand to be strong in other countries as it continues to grow in the United States."
