Moran Industries Teams With Dacco Transmission Parts

Moran Industries, the leading franchisor in the automotive aftermarket, recently announced the formation of an alliance with Dacco Transmission Parts. This decision establishes Dacco as the preferred transmission parts supplier to all of Moran?s 150 Transmission USA brand locations, operating under the trade names of Mr. Transmission, Multistate Transmission, Atlas Transmission and Dr. Nicks Transmission.

This partnership, effective immediately, was announced at the 2002 Moran Industries Franchisee Advisory Alliance meeting recently held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Selecting Dacco Transmission Parts as our primary supplier allows Moran to develop a relationship with a premier transmission parts supplier, and enables us to continue on our strategic path for growth and unity of our transmission brand," said Barbara Moran, president of Moran Industries.

The Dacco/Moran partnership will provide Moran's transmission center franchisees greater buying power, standardization of warranty coverage and increased service levels. Dacco's status as America's leading manufacturer of torque converters, coupled with the company's extensive distribution network of over 40 locations convenient to Moran's existing territories, were significant factors in Dacco's selection as preferred supplier.
