Maui Wowi Fresh Hawaiian Blends Smoothing Their Way Into Centerplate Locations (7/03)

Maui Wowi, the leading franchisor of Hawaiian Blend gourmet, all-natural refreshments sold at kiosks nationwide, is now teaming up with Centerplate as a preferred vendor. Centerplate is one of the leading providers of catering, concessions, management and merchandise services for sports, convention and other entertainment venues.

"We are thrilled to be offering Maui Wowi's product line at Centerplate venues," said Jerry Conklin, director of global development for Maui Wowi. "As a preferred vendor, Maui Wowi has the opportunity to expand to some 129 locations. Currently, Maui Wowi has Franchise locations in 26 Centerplate venues and we are projecting to have 75 new locations operating by the end of 2003 and the remainder open in 2004."

Maui Wowi has more than 230 units operating in 41 states and Puerto Rico. In addition to smoothies and its Island Coffee line, the company also added Maui Wowi Smoothie Rip- Sticks™, all natural, fat-free, squeeze-ups made up of all fruit and yogurt in addition to its signature all natural pre-blended smoothies (an all-natural blend of fresh fruit, non-fat yogurt). Maui Wowi was rated number 38 in the category of fastest growing Franchises on the Entrepreneur Magazine franchise 500 list.
