Franchise News Release: (Dec-17-1999)
DALLAS (December 17, 1999) - The lead story in the premiere issue of Master Franchising newsletter, to be released in January 2000, announces the first Master Franchising Conference, set for London, England in April 2000. The newsletter is being mailed free to approximately 1,700 master franchisees, licensees and development agents worldwide, says John P. Hayes, Ph.D., publisher and editor. "The biggest void in franchising may be the lack of a communications network for master franchisees," explains Hayes, who has been compiling the International Directory of Master Franchisees for nearly two years. "I have twice surveyed master franchisees and at the top of their 'wish list' is a newsletter that brings them closer together, and a conference where they can hone their skills and learn more about how others in similar situations are selling franchises, supporting franchisees, raising capital, and building successful Franchise operations." The Master Franchising Conference will be held at the Institute of Directors in London on April 13-14, 2000. The agenda includes two-days of general meetings and networking opportunities. Agenda topics include: Raising Money: How To Capitalize Your Growth As A Master Franchisee; Marketing Greatness: Setting Your Marketing Priorities For Ultimate Success; Building Trust: The Key To Great Relationships In Franchising; Successful Strategies For Training & Supporting Franchisees; Winning Strategies For Selling Franchises, and more. Several sessions will be addressed by panelists. There will also be a set of roundtable discussions. More details, including registration information and exhibitor opportunities, will be announced in the newsletter. The first Master Franchising newsletter, a quarterly publication, is being sponsored by Copy Club, Inc., franchise Development Services Ltd., South Beach Concepts, and the Center for International Entrepreneurship & Franchising in Dallas, TX. Newsletter sponsorships are limited to four companies per issue. Hayes notes that two of the four sponsorships for the second issue of the newsletter have already been reserved by franchisors. The newsletter content will include results of recent surveys with master franchisees, as well as articles on sales, marketing, and other subjects of interest to international developers. Hayes is seeking editorial contributions for future issues of the newsletter. While the newsletter will be mailed free to the International Database of Master Franchisees, free copies also will be available to others on a first-come first-served basis. To be added to the mailing list, or to add master franchisees to the list, send email to jhayes@reporters.net. For editorial contributions, send email to jhayes@reporters.net, or via fax at 972-985-8017, or write to Dr. John P. Hayes, 6612 Dupper Court, Dallas, TX 75252. |
