egismoz Marries Online Auction with Storefront; Prepares for U.S. Franchise Offering

Uniting the benefits of a traditional storefront and the Internet, entrepreneur Taylor Bond has created egismoz, a new Retail franchise with multiple revenue streams in the nation’s huge and growing consumer electronics industry.

The egismoz storefront is full of computers, notebooks, monitors, printers, HDTVs, digital cameras, iPods, Home Theatre systems, remote control toys and more. Its online component, egismoz Auctions, offers customers an Internet option where buyers bid on a host of consumer electronic products available at their local egismoz store.

“By combining the advantages of traditional brick-and-mortar stores with the Internet, we’ve created a competitive alternative to Best Buy, Overstock.com, and eBay,” Bond said. “egismoz is perfecting ‘clicks and mortar.’ Our commitment is to deliver unbeatable value. We’re doing what the big boxes and Internet merchants haven’t been able to do – provide electronics customers with reliable products, incredible bargains, and top-notch customer service all under one roof.”

With marketing campaigns touting slogans like “Seize the Deal,” and “Boycott the Big Boxes,” Bond is luring consumers who want strong customer service, knowledgeable salespeople, and great value. egismoz offers quality new, overstock, and manufacturer recertified brand name computers, HDTVs, Home Theatre systems, DVD players, digital cameras, remote control toys, and a host of other gismoz and gadgets on sale for 20% t 80% lss than big box retailers like Best Buy.

“The egismoz store was designed to be absolutely customer friendly. egismoz customers don’t get lost, bleary-eyed, and overwhelmed when shopping and it’s easy for them to find our staff and our staff to find our customers. That just can’t happen in a big box store. It’s pretty simple: Customers need choice, knowledgeable assistance that’s easily accessible, and great pricing. That’s egismoz!” says Bond.

Through egismoz Auctions, buyers can bid on the same host of consumer electronic products. At their local store, bidders can see each item and touch, test, and ask questions about it before they ever make a bid. “With egismoz Auctions, you can know more before you buy,” Bond said. “You don’t have to worry about whom you’re buying from, where they’re located, shipping costs, or the wait for the item to arrive. egismoz offers extended warranties and services what it sells. When you buy something on eBay and it breaks, how do you get it fixed? Or, what do you do if it’s just not what you wanted? egismoz Auctions is the best way to get a great deal on consumer electronics. Great deals, little risk.”

Bond’s Franchising experience runs deep. In January 2004, Bond purchased Children’s Orchard - a 25-year-old leading Upscale Resale children’s retail franchise. Since then he has revitalized the brand, updating its image, marketing, and merchandising while opening stores in new markets throughout the United States. A former Domino’s Pizza executive, Bond also developed and owned and operated the highest volume Computer Renaissance store and went on to become that chain’s President.

To help Bond develop the egismoz brand, Paul Price has come onboard as its Vice President of Operations. Price brings with him nearly 25 years of experience in the electronics and Franchise industries. He was Vice President of Operations at the Computer Renaissance and Candleman Franchises and an executive at Plaisted Properties, LLC, a franchise operations strategy team focused on Dairy Queen Grill & Chill restaurants.

“ I asked Paul Price to join the team because of our success together franchising Computer Renaissance retail stores,” said Bond, noting that under Price’s leadership, Computer Renaissance opened more than 200 retail units worldwide. “He has the ideal skill set, knowledge, and experience to make egismoz one of the most successful consumer electronics franchises ever.”

Jumping onto the Electronics Band Wagon

Having opened the first egismoz store in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Price has laid the groundwork for rapid development of egismoz franchised businesses. “We want community oriented franchisees with a passion for customer service who are driven to succeed in a fast paced, fun business atmosphere,” Price said.

Interested entrepreneurs can expect to spend between $250,000 and $350,000 to develop and open an egismoz franchise, including a franchise fee of $35,000. Stores range in size from about 2,000 to 2,500 square feet. A comprehensive training program and ongoing support covers the key facets of egismoz operations including sales, customer service, purchasing, inventory, personnel, and financial management.
