Dwyer Group Appoints David Bethea To President of Rainbow International

The Dwyer Group (NASDAQ: DWYR) has appointed David Bethea to president for Rainbow International Carpet Care & Restoration Specialists, one of the leading carpet care and Restoration franchise networks in the industry.

"David is perfect for this role," said Dina Dwyer-Owens, president and CEO of The Dwyer Group. "His managerial experience has been a great asset to The Dwyer Group, and Rainbow International will benefit greatly from his total focus in leading that national and international Franchise network in its next phase of growth."

Bethea previously served as President of General Business Services (GBS) and E.K. Williams (EKW) when those companies were owned by The Dwyer Group. He maintained that position when the companies were purchased by Century Small Business Solutions in California. But he returned to The Dwyer Group in 2001 to assume the newly-created position of Vice President of franchise Support over all Dwyer concepts.

Bethea will continue to support the international master licensees -- many of them with Rainbow International -- in their communication with corporate headquarters, said Dwyer-Owens. And as president of Rainbow International, he will build upon the network's strong foundation and focus on growth in the restoration industry.

"The opportunities in restoration work are endless," Bethea said. "And I'm excited to lead the perfect team in growing Rainbow's market share." By focusing on service to the franchise owner and, in turn, the franchise owner 's service to the Rainbow customer, Bethea called his role for Rainbow the best job to look forward to every single day.

Bethea replaces Mike Bidwell, who has served as president of Rainbow International since 1995. Bidwell advanced to the position of Chief Operating Office for The Dwyer Group in 2000. Bidwell was once one of the largest and most successful franchise owners for Rainbow International before joining the executive branch of the franchisor. He was instrumental in naming Bethea as his successor as president of Rainbow International.

"While I will still have a role in leading Rainbow along with the other Dwyer concepts as chief operating officer of the parent company, I know that David will bring the daily dedication that Rainbow deserves."
