Dwyer Group Hires Bruha as Chief Information Officer

The Dwyer Group, Inc. has hired Jim Bruha to serve as the company's Chief Information Officer, effective immediately.

Bruha previously served as Director of information technology for Harmon AutoGlass, where he worked for more than nine years streamlining systems for the company's hundreds of locations across the nation. Harmon was recently acquired by The Dwyer Group's affiliate, Glass Doctor.

"Jim came to us at the perfect time as we look to integrate Harmon with Glass Doctor's national network and build the necessary IT infrastructure to support the growth of The Dwyer Group and all of its subsidiaries," said Mike Bidwell, Chief Operating Officer of The Dwyer Group.

Bruha called his new duties an exciting challenge, overseeing everything from telephony contracts to database contracts, financial systems, and all of the responsibilities of The Dwyer Group's in-house technology group, ZorWare.

"Going from a company-owned, centralized IT model at Harmon to a franchisee-owned, distributed model, means standardized processes and developing systems for 1100 business owners versus one owner," Bruha said. He expects IT to play an integral role in The Dwyer Group's objectives as the company continues an aggressive growth-pattern in the home services Franchising arena.

Bruha will remain based in Minneapolis, where Glass Doctor will maintain a facility as a result of the recent Harmon AutoGlass acquisition.

"I expect Jim and the entire IT division at The Dwyer Group to have a huge impact on the efficiencies of our business," Bidwell said. "Everyone from the corporate level to the franchisee level will operate better as we continue to use the leading available technologies to advance our operations."
