Del Taco Signs New Los Angeles Franchisee

A Southern California fixture for more than 38 years, Del Taco today announced it has signed a Franchise development agreement for five new restaurants in the west-central area of Los Angeles.

The agreement with Della Foods LLC demonstrates the continued consumer interest in Del Taco throughout the Southland.

"We are pleased to welcome Della Foods to the Del Taco family," said Ron Petty, president of Del Taco Inc. "Southern California has been our home from the start and we see great opportunity to serve our core customers here with more convenient locations."

Della Foods is led by experienced restaurateurs and Los Angeles natives, Anthony and Teresa Mack, who also own and operate a Denny's restaurant.

"Del Taco's freshly prepared menu and quality taste are part of the Los Angeles lifestyle. We grew up on Del Taco, and are proud to be able to serve this great taste to our community," said Anthony Mack. "These new Del Taco restaurants are part of the first phase of our company's Restaurant expansion plans."

At Del Taco, each menu item is prepared to order. Signature menu items including the more than a pound Macho Burritos, tacos and quesadillas are made to order using freshly grated cheddar cheese, fresh produce, lard-free beans made from scratch, strawberry shakes with real strawberries and chicken grilled every hour.

Del Taco is a privately held company that operates, or franchises, more than 400 Mexican quick service restaurants throughout the United States. Del Taco is the second largest Mexican restaurant chain in the United States with individual restaurant sales volumes that exceed all other Mexican quick service competitors.
