ACCUDAQ to Head Up Florida State University's Franchise Communication and Compliance Study

Florida State University recently contracted with Edmond-based ACCUDAQ to head up the knowledge management of the university's Franchise and communication and compliance study, which focuses on the efforts of franchisers to develop better relations and support systems, thus bettering franchisee satisfaction and stimulating market growth.

Current results indicate that communication frequency among franchisees increases with the existence of a lateral communication channel. Previous research suggests that electronic communication facilitates lateral communication by providing an asynchronous media choice, making communication on such channels more frequent because it is more convenient, and therefore, directly affects franchisee compliance.

"Our commitment to the franchiser is to deliver information to their franchisees increasing satisfaction and corporate support without large IT investments," Dino Price, CEO of ACCUDAQ, said. "Our involvement in the study is to increase our own understanding of the franchiser/franchisee relationship."

By participating in the study, franchisers will gain further insight into the needs of their franchisee, better the relationship and create loyalty.

The study will also lend itself directly to the dislocated enterprise or virtual community-like organizations and how organizations employ technology into their communication processes, how their members or employees perceive those processes and how effective those efforts really are.

The results of the survey are to be published in the first quarter of 2003.
