Zpizza Expands in Arizona

Zpizza, the Southern California based gourmet pizza chain, recently signed a Multi-unit franchise agreement with Arizona residents David and Christine Tosi. Mr. and Mrs. Tosi plan to open two stores in the Tucson area, the first by spring of 2007. "Tucson has a lot of health-conscious people and has few health-conscious Restaurant options," says David. "The combination of quality, freshness and creativity in our pizza, sandwiches, pastas and salads sets a new standard in the area."

"Pizza is always an excellent choice for any type of gathering, now with Zpizza it's going to taste better and be healthier, too," adds Christine.

Often referred to as the Starbucks of the pizza industry, Zpizza takes a unique approach to the crowded pizza segment, offering a large selection of premium quality and creative pizzas. Zpizza's menu offers 17 tasty and adventurous pizzas as well as sandwiches, salads, calzones and the opportunity to create your own pizza with a selection of crusts-including whole wheat, sauces, cheeses and toppings.

"Zpizza is already a huge hit in the Phoenix area," said Chris Bright, Zpizza president. "We are very excited about expanding our reach into the state of Arizona and bringing our innovative and health conscious restaurant to the Tucson area."

Currently there are two Zpizza stores located in the Phoenix area. Zpizza will have over 60 locations open nationwide by the end of 2006 and another 200 in ongoing development in California, Nevada, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, North Carolina, Colorado and Vermont.
