WINGSTOP TO BRING FIRST TWO RESTAURANTS TO VIRGINIA

Jim Deering, president of Wingstop Restaurants, Inc., announced today that the fast growing chain has signed a Franchise development agreement with Kevin Lowry to open Virginia's first two Wingstop restaurants.

This will be the first Restaurant venture for Kevin Lowry, formerly a senior manager for Verizon. Lowry is currently looking for restaurant space to lease in the Northern Virginia area. "Coming off 22 years in the IT and Telecom industries, this is truly a new adventure for me," said Lowry. "But, I've done my due diligence and I'm really excited about this business." He went on to say that, if all goes as planned, the first restaurant will open in November 2001, and the second in May 2002.

In just three years of franchising, Wingstop now has 32 restaurants open and another 60 under development in thirteen states: Texas, California, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Nevada, and now Virginia.
