Dallas Cowboys, Wing Stop Announce Five-Year Sponsorship Agreement

The Dallas Cowboys and Wingstop Restaurants, Inc., the Dallas-based chicken wing chain that has sold over 1.5 Billion wings, announced a partnership today in which Wingstop will be the Official Wings Of The Dallas Cowboys.

The five-year agreement, which begins when the new Cowboys stadium opens this year, gives Wingstop an exclusive designation for use in advertising materials as well as rights to be the exclusive vendor of chicken wings at stadium events. In addition, Wingstop’s proprietary sauces will be available in the stadium’s luxury suites.

Wingstop also will partner with the Cowboys on official Cowboys radio and TV broadcasts as well as advertising on the cowboys Web site, in game program ads, stadium advertising, special joint promotions and with specially designed bags and cups in the Wingstop restaurants in select markets throughout Texas.

“This partnership is the largest we’ve ever undertaken because it is such a natural for everyone involved,” said Wingstop president and CEO Jim Flynn. “Football and chicken wings are perfect partners and since we are based in Dallas-Fort Worth, it only makes sense.”

Wingstop and professional football are no strangers. Former Cowboys quarterback and current Fox sportscaster Troy Aikman has been the company’s spokesman since 2003 and the company’s network of franchisees includes current and former NFL players Ron Stone, Willie McGinest and Raheem Brock.
