Coming Soon to a Mall Near You: A new We're Rolling Pretzel franchise (7/00)

The We're Rolling Pretzel Company sold its first Franchise to Linda McFarland, of Leeper, PA. The new store is scheduled to open later this summer at the DuBois Mall in DuBois, PA located between Pittsburgh and Erie.

What attracted her to We're Rolling Pretzel Company? "An ad in a local paper," says Linda. Once it caught her notice, she began researching the business.

First, she tried the product and the competition. Of the other pretzel retailers, she thought We're Rolling offered the best product. Then she met with the We're Rolling Pretzel company leadership team of Kevin Krabill, President and Cheryl Carter, Director of franchise Sales and Development; she was very impressed.

"Kevin and Cheryl are a great duo," says Linda. "They have a great product, a lot of ambition and I am sure they will go far."

When searching for the right location, Linda looked into several options and found a corner location in the DuBois Mall, a four-anchor center with 80 stores. She likes the mall and the DuBois area and expects to do well.

The store should hold its grand opening in late July or early August. Linda credits Jack Marietta for the quick renovations to the store, making it ready in time for a late summer opening. As part of their comprehensive training, marketing and new store opening support programs, We're Rolling Pretzel Company will send several employees to help open its newest location.

An LPN on and off for 18 years, Linda prefers to be her own boss. This is Linda's third business, having owned a video and card store for several years before she sold it and a restaurant/motel for five years. With some background in food service, Linda decided to open the We're Rolling Pretzel store.

With two corporate owned stores in Ohio, We're Rolling is aggressively pursuing new markets and plans to open a number of new stores in the coming months. In addition to traditional marketing efforts, We're Rolling holds Discovery Days in target markets, seeking franchise locations in small and mid-size shopping malls.
