US Franchise Systems Opens 500th Hotel Property

Atlanta-based US Franchise Systems (USFS), parent company of the franchisors of the Microtel Inns & Suites, Hawthorn and Best Inns & Suites hotel brands, is celebrating a milestone tomorrow, Jan. 24th, with the opening of its 500th property, the Hawthorn Suites LTD hotel in Aransas Pass, Texas. Located at 501 East Goodnight, 30 miles north of Corpus Christi, the property is owned and managed by long-time developer Walter K. Myers and K Partners Aransas Pass LP.

The Hawthorn hotel in Aransas Pass is an 86-suite property on three floors. Rates range from $89 for a studio suite to $119 for a one-bedroom suite with full kitchen and balcony, and the property is an excellent value for family and business travelers alike. Amenities include Hawthorn's signature daily hot buffet breakfast and social hour Monday through Thursday, outdoor pool, hot tub and fitness center, and meeting room.
