THE DWYER GROUP HIRES CHRISTOPHERSON AS SENIOR FRANCHISE COUNSEL

Donna Christopherson, J.D., has been hired as Senior franchise Counsel for The Dwyer Group, effective immediately.

Christopherson is the latest addition to a growing legal team serving the needs of The Dwyer Group and its Franchise subsidiaries.

"Through acquisitions, new domestic franchise locations and international expansion, The Dwyer Group of Companies has grown considerably," said Duke Johnston, Vice President and General Counsel for The Dwyer Group. "Donna is a great asset to our legal team as we continue to provide legal counsel and services to an expanding organization."

Christopherson joins The Dwyer Group after serving at the Austin branch of Strasburger & Price, LLP as a franchise compliance attorney in the firm's Franchise & Distribution team. She has more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with franchise, licensing and developer issues, including franchise regulatory compliance, registration and disclosure; preparation of franchise agreements; dual branding arrangements; supplier contract negotiations and more.

Prior to Strasburger, Christopherson was Associate General Counsel and Senior Attorney of a public company Restaurant franchisor. Before that, she represented franchise clients in the industries of transportation and travel, restaurant, and business services.

Christopherson is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), The ABA Forum on Franchising, and the Legal Legislative Committee of the ABA Forum on Franchising. She received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin .
