The Dwyer Group Celebrates 25th Anniversary in 2006

With the arrival of 2006, The Dwyer Group begins celebrating 25 years of Franchising success and the millions of customers served worldwide.

“This New Year marks a major milestone for the history of our company and the approximately 2.2 million service calls our franchisees make on an annual basis,” said Dina Dwyer-Owens, president and CEO of The Dwyer Group. “Not only have our Franchise brands grown to become leaders in their industries, but also we continue to grow in market share and name recognition as we expand into new territories at home and abroad.”

The Dwyer Group supports a network that includes more than 1,300 franchisees in 21 countries. They operate under the service marks of Aire Serv® Heating and Air Conditioning, Glass Doctor®, Mr. Appliance®, Mr. Electric®, Mr. Rooter®, Rainbow International® and associate company DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide®.

Established in 1981 by the late Don Dwyer, Sr. when he launched Rainbow International, The Dwyer Group has thrived over the years, adding franchise concepts and growing an army of service technicians to offer the most comprehensive residential and commercial service repairs, maintenance and installation needs of any company in the world.

The current franchise brands were founded by or acquired by The Dwyer Group in the following order:

• Rainbow International, 1981 -- fire and water damage restoration services, carpet cleaning

• associate company DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide (formerly Worldwide Refinishing Systems), 1989 (est. 1971) -- full-service kitchen and bath remodeling

• Mr. Rooter, 1989 (est. 1970) -- plumbing and drain cleaning

• Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning, 1993 -- heating and air conditioning

• Mr. Electric, 1994 -- electrical service and repairs

• Mr. Appliance, 1996 -- appliance service and repairs

• Glass Doctor, 1998 (est. 1962) -- glass repair and replacement

As part of the 25th Anniversary, The Dwyer Group plans to continue to grow its current franchise brands, adding an estimated 250 locations among its concepts this year.
