Dwyer Group’s Director Honored With Franchise Education Scholarship

The Dwyer Group’s Director of Military Development Chris Loudermilk was recently awarded the Irl Marshall Certified Franchise Executive Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding efforts during his tenure with The Dwyer Group.

The scholarship provides recipients with an educational grant in the amount of $2,500 to encourage and support those enrolled in the Certified franchise Executive (CFE) professional development program administered by the International Franchise Association.

Since joining The Dwyer Group in 2007, Loudermilk created the Program for Assisting Veteran Entrepreneurship or P.A.V.E. The program aims to help transitioning military and current veterans go into business for themselves by providing financial and educational resources towards the purchase of a franchise within The Dwyer Group network.  Those six concepts include Aire Serv, Glass Doctor, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter and Rainbow International and are active participants in VetFran, which was created for honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who are interested in going into business for themselves, but not by themselves.

“Veterans are often a great fit for business ownership,” said Loudermilk. “They value the use of systems and have incredible work ethic. And P.A.V.E. was our way of giving back to those who have already sacrificed so much for their country. Receiving the Irl Marshall CFE scholarship in part for the program’s creation was a true honor and for that I am extremely grateful.”

Loudermilk received the award at the International Franchise Association’s 49th annual convention and was one of four recipients. He was also featured in the March issue of Franchising World magazine.
