Taxi's Restaurant to Launch Franchise Program

Following Taxi's January announcement of plans to open an additional 200 restaurants over the next five years, the Company today announced that it will launch its Franchise Program to a select group of operators in western and mountain states. The company will seek experienced Multi-unit franchise operators who are well aligned with the cultural demands of the Fast Casual segment. Given the experience and skill of Taxi's targeted franchisees, the franchise program has been structured to be "franchisee-friendly".

Taxi's has also finalized its lease terms and began construction of the newest prototype. A new unit in Dublin, CA will serve as the primary training and product development location. Taxi's will be located in Hacienda Crossings, a regional entertainment/retail power center anchored by Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Pier One Imports and by Regal Cinemas with the Bay Area's newest large format Imax Theater. The Taxi's footprint requires 2200 to 2600 square feet and is flexible allowing it to fit a wide variety of available spaces. Because it is a perfect conversion vehicle, its investment costs are low and each Restaurant can be quickly built. Taxi's restaurants are designed with a well-integrated theme and strong brand registration.
