STEAK-OUT TARGETS MISSOURI FOR EXPANSION

Steak-Out, the nation's largest char-broiled delivery system, specializing in healthy, home-style meals for more than 18 years, recently announced plans to open 45 locations throughout the St. Louis area over the next 10 years, creating more than 35 jobs at each location.

Missouri Franchise Development Systems, LLC, will oversee Steak-Out's development in the St. Louis market. The Missouri franchise Development partners are multi-unit operators of a national fast- food chain and were previously area developers for a national franchise associated with the automotive industry.

The first St. Louis franchise, located at 3467 Hampton Ave, is scheduled to open in October 2004. Two more locations in St. Louis and Chesterfield are slated to open in November and January, respectively.

"We are thrilled to introduce the Steak-Out delivery concept to St. Louis," said Brian Brown, spokesman for the development company. "We look forward to providing our local customers with delicious and convenient meals."

If the demand for takeout delivery continues to increase at its current pace, the industry is predicted to reach $200 billion by 2008, creating an ideal market for a concept such as Steak-Out, dedicated to convenient delivery of healthy meals versus pizza or subs.

Steak-Out's menu, which includes rib eye steaks, New York strip steaks, grilled chicken breast filets, salads and grilled vegetables, appeals to consumers' increasing demand for healthy, protein-rich and low-carb cooking. Unlike many sit-down restaurants that have recently jumped on the takeout bandwagon, Steak-Out has spent years perfecting their cooking techniques and package designs to ensure warmth and freshness of all meals.
