Snip-its Salon Expands to Central Avenue in Westchester County

To meet the high demand for specialized kids’ haircuts, Snip-its, the fastest growing Franchise of children’s hair salons in the nation, will open its newest location in Westchester County on Friday, November 14 at 450 Central Avenue at the Scarsdale Park Mall in New York. The 1,800 square foot salon with six cutting stations will provide haircutting services for children in a fun and animated cartoon environment with specially trained and friendly stylists. For birthday celebrations, the salon has the largest party room of all the 62 Snip-its salons nationwide, with upscale furnishings and a full entertainment system.

I’ve searched for a long time for the right Southern Westchester location,” said Snip-its Scarsdale owner and mom Jennifer Solomon, a Wharton MBA graduate that lives in Dobbs Ferry. “We’ll deliver the same excellent customer service that has led to the success of my first Snip-its store salon in The Cortlandt Town Center in Northern Westchester.  Despite the current economic challenges, I expect this the Central Avenue Snip-its to be a big hit.  I’m proud to be supporting the local economy.”

Snip-its offers children a no-tears hair cut experience inside a salon that’s weaved with vibrant colors that reminds many customers of a magical Saturday morning cartoon. Salons feature Snip-its own branded animated cartoon characters: Snips, Jean Luc le Spritz, Curly Comb, Flyer Joe Dryer, the Clip-ette Sisters, and Maranga Mirror, animated videos, floor-to-ceiling murals, music, salon-tailored educational computer games, and a cushy “parents chair” at every styling station to keep Mom close at hand. At the end of each visit, children receive a prize in exchange for a lock of hair from the “Magic Box.”
