ServiceMaster Names Mark Burel to Lead Major Business Unit

The ServiceMaster Company announced the appointment of Mark Burel to the position of President of American Residential Services. Burel replaces William LeBaron, who will be leaving the company to pursue other interests. Burel had been serving as Vice President of ServiceMaster Consumer Services. In his new position, Burel will report to Ernie Mrozek, President and Chief Operating Officer of Consumer and Commercial Services.

American Residential Services is a leading provider of plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning services. Under the Rescue Rooter brand, ARS also provides plumbing and drain cleaning services. Together, these companies serve approximately 1.6 million customers each year.

"Mark Burel's experience in key leadership roles with national service organizations will be a tremendous asset as we take ARS to the next level of accomplishment and success," said Mrozek. "For fifteen years, Mark has demonstrated his leadership and dedication to the service industry. He has proven skills in several key aspects of the business - service sales, direct marketing, call centers, parts organizations and field operations."

Prior to ServiceMaster, Burel worked for Montgomery Ward as Vice President of Product Services Operations. He also served in senior positions with Case and General Electric.

ServiceMaster currently provides outsourcing services for more than 12 million residential and commercial customers, with operating revenue of approximately $4 billion. The core service capabilities of the Company include lawn care and landscape maintenance, termite and pest control, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and drain cleaning services, home inspections, cleaning and disaster restoration, maid service, furniture repair and home warranties.
