Roni Deutch Tax Center Breaks the Ice with the NHL

Roni Deutch Tax Center, the nation’s premier tax preparation Franchise company, announced a partnership with the New York Islanders, a National Hockey League Member Club based in Long Island, NY.  The partnership is the first that Roni Deutch Tax Center has created with a professional hockey organization, and it will provide Islanders’ fans with discounted tax preparation services and free New York state tax returns.

“Partnering with the Islanders is a natural fit because both the NHL and tax seasons occur during the same time of year,” said Shawn Ervin, CEO and president of Roni Deutch Tax Center, noting that both organizations can work together to effectively provide local taxpayers and hockey fans the information they need to be prepared this tax season. “We look forward to further developing our professional relationship with this storied sports franchise, as we continue to grow and build the Roni Deutch Tax Center brand in New York and throughout the Northeast.”

As part of the deal, the New York Islanders will host a “Tax Night” promotion during their game against the Buffalo Sabres on January 23, 2011, with in-game promotions and exciting giveaways. In addition, Roni Deutch Tax Center will provide everyone 18 years and older in attendance with a free state tax return and a limited number of attendees with a free federal tax return. During the Islanders’ Tax Night, representatives from Roni Deutch Tax Center will be on-site to answer tax-related questions before, during, and after the game.

To help promote “Tax Night”, the Islanders will distribute an e-blast the day before to Islanders Networking Club members; and the Islanders Ice Girls will visit Roni Deutch Tax Center at 134 East Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.
