Relay Express Franchise: Local Delivery Company Expanding Nationally

Relay Express, a leading full-service, same-day delivery company in the messenger-courier and air courier industries, is selling Franchises in cities across the country.

Beginning in the summer of 2006, Cincinnati-based Relay Express plans to add four franchises in the first year and five to 10 franchises in each of the next five years.

Relay Express has 25 employees and 75 independent contractors making up to 1,000 deliveries a day across the continental U.S. The company operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Founded in 1986, Relay Express began as a local messenger-courier service offering on-demand, excuse-free delivery of packages from point to point in Cincinnati. In the 20 years since delivering its' first package, the company has shifted from a business centered on delivering small packages locally to a national operation that specializes in truckload deliveries.
