Red Mango Launches National Aggressive Expansion Plan

Red Mango, one of the most popular and fastest growing retailers of authentic nonfat frozen yogurt has announced national expansion plans, baeginning in Dallas-Fort Worth, and New York. Red Mango plans to open as many as 550 locations across the country over the next five years, with a Franchise system that is attracting multiple-concept franchisees, successful business entrepreneurs and first time business owners as potential franchisees to join the brand.

To launch the aggressive campaign and to accommodate the inquires, the company will host a series of franchise Growth Information Seminars beginning in New York on May 4 and Dallas on May 11. The news follows the recent opening of the Red Mango Franchising Company in Dallas to support the brand’s national expansion from a central U.S. location.

Red Mango grew to more than 40 stores across the U.S. in 2008. James Franks, vice president of franchising, says Dallas-Fort Worth and New York are prime markets for the next stage of the brand’s growth.

“Despite the economy, we’re experiencing the strongest franchise growth in our company’s history,” Franks said. “And our commitment to enter and expand in these markets with the right franchisee is already supported with our new franchise offices in Dallas. We will double the size of our franchise network this year, and our efforts in these target markets will be instrumental to that success.”

Following Dallas-Fort Worth and New York, events are in development for Seattle and Los Angeles. Red Mango has already opened five stores in the greater-Seattle market, attracting a huge following and creating demand for more growth. The company currently has nine stores in the Los Angeles area and ten stores in New York and plans to add to that success. The first Dallas-Fort Worth location is expected to open later this year. 

“These events are designed to offer local entrepreneurs and potential franchisees a chance to meet members of the Red Mango management team and hear more about the company’s expansion plans and franchise opportunities,” said Franks.
