RWorld rolls cartridge franchise into Canada's capital

RWorld Franchise Canada Inc. announced its Master Franchisor, Ottawa businessman Chris Jodoin. Under the agreement, Jodoin will handle territory Franchising and develop the popular printer cartridge recycling and remanufacturing concept known as RWorld.

The first location for this territory is right in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Jodoin plans are to open the first micro plant by mid January in the twin towers of L’Esplanade Laurier at 181 Bank Street (beside Canada Post). The 5-year forecast is to open 30 Direct Sales sub franchisees in Ottawa and surrounding area. With the new “barrier free” Mobile concept Jodoin feels no hesitation with the expansion plans.

Jodoin has been a local businessman for 25 years working in the private sector in finance and as co owner of Capital Dominion Radiator a family owned Ottawa Valley business for over 35 years. In shifting his focus to RWorld as a Master Franchisor Jodoin commented having a wife three young children it was the environmental benefits and concept of recycling along with the local charity support component of the RWorld programs that attracted him in to the cartridge industry.

Jodoin said “The first time I used a RWorld remanufactured cartridge I was hooked; it worked just like the original Hewlett Packard and cost about 40% lss”. Jodoin said. "The customer receives a reliable, consistent product and RWorld also pays for your empty cartridge which can either reduce the purchase price or be donated to a local charity."

RWorld offers comparatively low start-up costs for franchisees (from $ 40,000 – 60,000); depending on the model you choose, store or mobile unit. RWorld’s model is regional micro plants, so there is no need for each individual franchise to remanufacture cartridges this allows for consistency in product and the franchise owner concentrates on promoting and growing their business.
