Protingent Staffing Makes the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies List for Third Year in a Row

The Puget Sound Business Journal today ranked Protingent Staffing as one of the fastest growing private companies in Washington State. The annual ranking compiles growth rates of private companies for the previous three years. Protingent Staffing ranked 69th with over 100% gowth for fiscal years 2004 through 2006. This is the third year in a row for Protingent Staffing to make the list. In 2005 Protingent Staffing which was then known as Techlink Northwest was ranked number 5.

A strong local economy and increased use of contingent workers during this tight labor market resulted in a number of staffing firms making the list. Protingent Staffing was the only firm on the list with a focus on temporary engineering staffing for technology development projects.

Donn Harvey, President of Protingent Staffing cites industry focus as the reason for Protingent’s continued growth. “We’ve put together a great team of professionals who spend all their time fitting the best engineers into ideal assignments for them and our clients. Companies find great value in the fact that after many years of working to understand the types of engineering talent they need we can efficiently fill their positions.” Vice President Tim Bruce sees the growth continuing as they are in the process of expanding Protingent’s presence by opening Franchise operations in select markets nationwide.

Methodology
To make the list, companies must have recorded revenue of at least $500,000 in 2004, and the CEO or chief financial officer must submit – and personally vouch for – revenues for the past three years. The accounting firm Grant Thornton verified the revenue figures and calculated the compound growth percentages by which the companies are ranked.
