ST. PAUL FOUNDRY CUSTOMIZES NEW ASSEMBLY LINE

Two Pirtek centers in the St. Paul, Minnesota area were recently hired by a local foundry to build a customized assembly line using hundreds of feet of rigid steel tubing. The foundry wanted to create a time efficient production line used for cooling melted metal.

“When they contacted us they were in a bind. Their original contractor backed out last minute and they were desperate to keep to their production schedule to avoid costly downtime,” stated Jidge Ruth, Franchise owner of Pirtek Plymouth , Minnesota . “We pulled together the parts we needed, ordered hundreds and hundreds of feet of rigid steel tubing, and got started on a Saturday morning. My partner, Craig Heitkamp who owns another Pirtek center in the St. Paul area brought his technicians over and joined us in building the assembly line.” Putting in 16 hour days in rotating shifts, the entire job was completed in eight days.
