Pet Butler Franchise, Nation's Top Pet Waste Cleanup Service, Expands to Phoenix

The husband and wife team of Ryan and Denan Burke have opened the first Arizona Franchise of Pet Butler, the nation's leading pet cleanup service. The Burkes' service area covers Scottsdale and the northern section of Phoenix.

Pet Butler, based in Dallas, provides professional pet waste cleanup and removal services for individual homeowners and their pets, as well as for multi-family communities and parks. The company proudly bills itself as "#1 in the '#2' business."

Pet Butler charges a small per-visit fee to collect dog and cat waste, carry it away, and dispose of it properly. Whether in yards or in public spaces, accumulated domestic animal waste can ruin lawns and present a significant source of water pollution.

The Burkes' Pet Butler operation, based in north Phoenix, offers weekly and twice-weekly pickup services. They cover Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Carefree, Cave Creek, Anthem, and northern Phoenix.

Previously, the Burkes lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Ryan managed his own real estate company and Denan was a psychotherapist. Ryan will run the day-to-day operations of the business, while Denan will work on the administrative and marketing side. The Burkes see their Pet Butler operation as a great opportunity to meet pets and their families while running their own business. An entrepreneur at heart, Ryan said he intends to make Pet Butler a household name in Phoenix.

"We were attracted to this business because it is a fast-growing niche market," said Ryan. "We are looking forward to owning our own business again and doing something that we enjoy."

Ryan said serving the Scottsdale and Northern Phoenix areas would provide a great market for Pet Butler. "The residents in this area take pride in their yards, but they may have demanding jobs with long hours or want to make the most of their retirement. They would prefer to spend their time with their families, and our service will give them the time to do that." The Burkes, human companions to Italian Greyhounds named Higgins and Hannah, know the importance of keeping a yard "poop free."
