Pet Butler Franchise, Nation's Top Pet Waste Cleanup Service, Expands to Huntington Beach

The husband-and-wife team of Kevin and Trish McCarthy of West Garden Grove have opened the first Huntington Beach Franchise of Pet Butler, the nation's leading pet waste cleanup service. It is the company's third franchise office in California and its second in Orange County.

Pet Butler, based in Dallas, provides professional pet waste cleanup and removal services for individual homeowners and their pets, as well as for multi-family communities and parks. The company proudly bills itself as "#1 in the '#2' business."

Pet Butler charges a small per-visit fee to collect dog and cat waste, carry it away, and dispose of it properly. Whether in yards or in public spaces, accumulated domestic animal waste can ruin lawns and present a significant source of water pollution.

The McCarthys' Pet Butler operation, covering Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley, offers weekly and twice-weekly pickup services.

Kevin, who spent 10 years as a supervisor in the warehouse and transportation industry, said he welcomes the chance to operate his own business and work outdoors.

"We were attracted to this business because we wanted to have our own business out of our home and be able to work on our own schedule," said Kevin. "When we learned how successful the Pet Butler franchise was, we knew it was the business for us."

The Huntington Beach area provides a great market for Pet Butler, Kevin said. "The residents in this area take pride in their homes and are very family-oriented. Our service will allow them to spend more time with their families and less time on their yards."

The McCarthys, owners of a Black Lab mix named Kayla, understand the importance of keeping a yard "poop free."

Matt "Red" Boswell, CEO (Chief Excrement Officer) of Pet Butler, said the Huntington Beach market is a welcome expansion for the company. "The McCarthys' service area is a beautiful part of the Orange County metro area, and a great place to do business. Now that Kevin and Patricia have established a Pet Butler franchise there, it will look and smell even better."

Pet Butler's first Orange County office opened early this year. It serves Irvine and Newport Beach.
