Franchise News Release: Kirkland, WA - (Aug-21-2007)

Pet Butler, Nation’s Top Pet Waste Cleanup Service, is Now Serving Seattle’s Eastside

Lynda Gavagan and Kelly Cantoni have gone from “shampoo” to “dog poo.” The two Bellevue hairdressers, along with Kelly’s husband, Matt, have opened the first local Franchise of Pet Butler, the nation’s leading pet waste cleanup service. The Kirkland franchise is the first Pet Butler operation in Washington and the 70th nationwide.

Pet Butler provides professional pet waste cleanup services for pet owners, as well as for multi-family communities and parks. Proudly billing itself as “#1 in the ‘#2’ business,” the company serves Seattle’s “Eastside” communities, including Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Sammamish/Issaquah Plateau, Woodinville, Bothell, and Kenmore.

Both the Cantonis and Gavagan are parents and pet owners, so they understand the importance of keeping a yard poop-free. Not only does pet waste look bad, smell bad, and ruin lawns, it contains pathogens that can be spread to humans and cause infection. The waste can also be carried via storm water to our waterways, potentially causing public health issues and the endangerment of aquatic life.

Pet Butler intends to help pet owners and pet-friendly multi-family communities ensure that the waste from their pets is disposed of in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

For a small per-visit fee, Pet Butler cleans up dog and cat waste from backyards and public spaces on a weekly, twice-weekly or bi-weekly basis. The company also offers a variety of other environmentally friendly services that include sprays designed to eliminate odors, bugs, and diseases; canine training aides to help prevent lawn damage; lawn repair solutions; and more.

“Northwesterners are known for their active and busy lifestyles, so in support of that, Pet Butler is here to remove one item from our clients’ lists of things to ‘doo’,” said Gavagan. “We hope that our business will help families enjoy the outdoors that much more by keeping our community poop free.”

Matt “Red” Boswell, CEO (Chief Excrement Officer) of Pet Butler, is excited to have the Cantonis and Gavagan join the Pet Butler family. “The Eastside is a beautiful area, and with Pet Butler in town, it will look and smell even better – especially with the excitement and enthusiasm that Lynda and Kelly bring to Pet Butler!”

Pet Butler , headquartered in Dallas, is leading the growth in the professional poop scooping market. With Franchises across the U.S., the company is on target to reach $4 million in revenue this year.
