Franchise News Release: New Orleans, LA - (Feb-1-2000) Pat O'Brien's Uniquely New OrleansWhen a customer comes into Pat O'Brien's, they know they are experiencing something special, something uniquely New Orleans since 1933. Ask anyone you may meet in New Orleans and they'll tell you the happening place to be during Mardi Gras or just any time of the year is Pat O'Brien's. The Main Bar, is a big city barroom which manages to magically holds on to more then a bit of the countryside charm that you would find in your favorite pub in County Cork. To the regular customers the Main Bar is referred to as "the locals bar". Across the Carriageway is the Piano Bar that sports two copper topped baby grand pianos. The Piano Bar is the place where no matter what time of year it is, the prevailing spirit and joy of the season finds your most heartfelt expressions. If you follow the Carriageway with its original old brick road bed worn smooth with years of shuffling patrons footsteps, past the entrances to the Main Bar and the Piano Bar, and you come upon a tropical oasis, which is truly the heart and soul of Pat O'Brien's and possibly the entire city of New Orleans. The graceful and spacious 4,000 square foot Patio is surrounds the famous flaming fountain, in which elements of fire and water come together. In the Patio people from all walks of life come together just as the flaming fountain, letting their imagination and senses flow along with our Southern charm and tranquility. At Pat O's Courtyard Restaurant, lunch and dinner are served in a patio setting. Creole specials, superb entrees, and unique desserts are served daily to complement the world famous beverages. The Briars' so named after the legendary retreat of the Emperor Napoleon, bears just the slightest resemblance to the old Piano Bar. The Briars' Victorian style dining room and parlor, are available for anything from an elegant formal dinner to hor d'oeuvres and cocktails for up to a hundred guests. The Briars' features an elegant balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. Pat O's on the River Grande Terrace features an elegant 17th century charm, with textured walls, exquisite antiques, ornate chandeliers and a cooper-topped grand piano. The brick Carriageway with its intricate wrought iron gates capture the appeal of our original bar and restaurant. There is a spacious terrace overlooking the majestic Mississippi River, promises a spectacular view. The experienced staff and state of the art kitchen facility provide a level of service and charm that is uniquely New Orleans. "We are now looking to the future. A national Franchise expansion program is underway," said owner George "Sonny" Oechsner, III. Several preliminary conversations have taken place regarding other locations. However, "The doors are still open. We have not solidified anything yet, as it was premature to do so until our organization was ready. Now we are ready," Oechsner said. These are just a few reasons to choose Pat O'Brien's as the one true place to Have Fun! |
