Papa Murphy's Opens 600th Store

Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza, the largest take-and-bake pizza company in the country, will open its 600th store in October, marking a new milestone as the chain continues to expand throughout the Midwest.

The opening moves Papa Murphy's past Godfathers Pizza and Round Table Pizza as the nation's sixth largest pizza chain, according to Franchise Corporation of America.

Papa Murphy's 600th store is slated to open on Oct. 11 in Overland Park, Kan., a suburb of Kansas City, less than a year after the chain's 500th store opened in California.

Papa Murphy's has opened 70 stores this year and plans to open 50 more before year's end.

Papa Murphy's, based in Vancouver, WA, is a system of 600 franchised and company-owned stores in 21 states, including Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio.
