Old Chicago, the 28 year-old “friendly neighborhood establishment” that specializes in imported beer and deep-dish pizza, recently celebrated the opening of its Bozeman location by donating proceeds from a weekend of meals to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Gallatin County.

The event was organized by Don Cape, Jr., local Franchise owner of Old Chicago of Bozeman, located at 1940 North 19 th Avenue, and his wife, Shavon. The Restaurant covered the costs of one beer and lunch and dinner meals for all customers and held a private preview dinner and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Many customers also donated funds to the charity.

Almost $6,000 was raised for BBBS of Gallatin County, a service that benefits youth and families in the community by providing volunteer “siblings” to children. Nearly 600 children in Gallatin County participate in the mentor program.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County is so grateful to Old Chicago for their incredible support,” said Colleen Schwanke, CEO of BBBS of Gallatin County. “The three-day event in Bozeman was a huge success. Thanks to the generosity of supporters like Old Chicago, we will be able to expand our programs to reach many more children throughout Gallatin County .”

As the proud parents of two children, the Capes chose to partner with BBBS of Gallatin County because of their desire to support local youth associations.

“We are keenly sensitive to the needs of children in our community,” said Don Cape , Jr. “Children represent our present and our future, and they are our greatest assets. It has been our pleasure to help advance the goals of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Old Chicago of Bozeman will continue to do so with future events.”

Old Chicago of Bozeman is the first of five restaurants Don Cape , Jr. plans to open, with locations slated to open throughout Montana , Idaho and Eastern Washington .

With an uncommon ambiance that meshes the friendliness of a local bar with the family-style atmosphere of a casual dining establishment, Old Chicago takes on the role of “neighborhood hangout” for families, couples and singles alike. The menu features deep-dish pizza, pasta and calzones, as well as burgers and sandwiches. Its signature 110-brew “World Beer Tour” lets customers taste beers from around the world. The beverage menu also includes a “Root Beer Tour” for younger clientele.
