Franchise News Release: Arlington, TX - (Feb-9-2000) NURSEFINDERS ACQUIRES MAJOR NEW JERSEY LICENSEE (2/00)Nursefinders, Inc. today announced the purchase of one of the company's largest licensees, DSR Medical Management, Inc., which operates six offices in Northern New Jersey and generates $20 million in revenues. Terms of the agreement were not announced, but DSR founders Jeff Sands and Dan Redmond will remain to manage and continue growing the business. According to Nursefinders CEO Richard Peranton, the DSR acquisition will serve as a springboard for development of the metropolitan New York City market. "Negotiations for other acquisitions in the New York area are in process and should be announced shortly," said Peranton. Sands and Redmond opened their first Nursefinders office in 1991 and quickly grew their business into a dominant player in northern New Jersey and one of the state's largest and most successful medical staffing and home care companies. "Acquiring successful license and Franchise offices in select markets is a part of our growth strategy that benefits everyone involved," added Peranton. "It provides the owner with an 'exit strategy' and in selected cases we retain the owners and include the possibility of receiving Nursefinders' stock as consideration. We believe this allows the company to maintain successful local management while allowing the owners to participate in the success of a larger company." The purchase is the latest in an aggressive nationwide acquisition and expansion campaign that will expand the Nursefinders presence into new markets. The company currently has operations in 130 markets across the United States. About Nursefinders Based in Arlington, Texas, Nursefinders is one of the largest medical staffing and specialty home health care companies in the nation with 130 offices in 38 states generating more than $250 million in systemwide revenues.
