NaturaLawn of America Invited to Speak at the American Chemical Society’s International Conference

NaturaLawn of America, the lawn care industry’s recognized leader in natural organic-based lawn care service, recently spoke at the 10th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference. The international conference, hosted by the American Chemical Society’s Green Chemical Institute, took place in Washington, D.C. to address safer uses of chemicals.
 
“This is the second year in a row we have been invited to speak,” explained Pat O’Sullivan, Regional Manager for NaturaLawn of America. “Reducing the use of unnecessary pesticides is a primary function of the NaturaLawn of America system. We educate consumers about what Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is, and provide programs that offer an alternative to a chemical approach. In doing so, we help improve the environment and people’s health.”
 
NaturaLawn of America’s IPM program is a system that provides for reduced, and safer use of materials designed to control insects, weeds, and diseases. It is based on prevention, monitoring, and controlling.
 
NaturaLawn of America is also a proud member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program (PESP). PESP is a voluntary program that forms partnerships with pesticide users to reduce the health and environmental risks associated with pesticide use and implement pollution prevention strategies.
