Franchise Guru Bruce Major to Design a Most Intriguing Franchise Program: Munchelino's (9/00)

S. T. Management Group, owner/operator of several Manhattan restaurants, has selected Bruce Major as President/Chief Development Officer in its spin-off organization, Casual Cafe Concepts. He's also a partner. Casual Cafe Concepts will launch Munchelino's, a "fast- casual" Franchise concept, with a first unit to open in Manhattan, November 2000. Major's responsibilities include development of Munchelino's franchise system with emphasis on legal registrations and documentation, franchise sales, area development representative territories, individual franchise rights and co-branding opportunities.

Major, who has developed exemplary franchise programs from ground zero and who has been instrumental in optimizing Franchising efforts of various industry giants, has also been a franchisee. In an industry where rifts between franchisors and franchisees are not uncommon, Major's successes on both sides have provided him with skills to build franchise systems that are attractive to everyone involved. Major is working with well-known Franchise Attorney Robert Zarco to develop a fair, comprehensive contract one-third the length of most such documents.
