First Master Franchise Conference Attracts Registrants From 25 Countries (4/01)

More than 100 persons from 25 countries recently participated in the first Master franchise Conference in London, England. The conference occurred at the site of the British & International Franchise Expo and was organized by the Master Franchising newsletter.

Speakers from nine different countries, most of them master franchisees, conducted seven information-packed sessions on topics of franchise sales, franchisee support, Internet technology, marketing and financing. Registrants included master franchisees, international franchisors, prospective master franchisees, franchise suppliers, and media.

"This conference was designed to benefit existing and prospective master franchisees," explained John P. Hayes, publisher of Master Franchising. "It was an opportunity for them to share ideas and learn from one another, and it appears that the conference succeeded because the evaluations are very favorable. The majority of attendees have asked us to organize a future conference."

The Spring 2001 issue of the Master Franchising newsletter will include a recap of the conference, along with articles extracted from several sessions.
