Manhattan Bagel Opens At Maxwell Air Force Base

Located within the base's food court, within close proximity to the PX/BX, the 250-square-foot facility is the second such operation located at a military installation in Alabama -- the other being at Fort Rucker. The store is the sixth Manhattan Bagel operation to be developed by AAFES nationally under a licensing agreement with the Eatontown, N.J.-based New World Coffee-Manhattan Bagel Inc. (Nasdaq: NWCID). Terms of the agreement permit AAFES to operate Manhattan Bagel stores on selected U.S. military installations throughout the world.

At Maxwell AFB, the bagels are baked fresh every day within the Manhattan Bagel store. In addition to the chain's current varieties of freshly-baked bagels, the store offers a selection of Manhattan Bagel-branded cheese spreads.
