Little Caesars Establishes World Record for 'Largest Pizza Order'

DETROIT (December 3, 1999) -- Need a gigantic pizza order filled? Little Caesars is the world leader. Recently, Little Caesars Pizza was officially notified they have established a Guinness Record for the largest pizza order by successfully serving 40,160 employees of the VF Corporation at 180 locations throughout the United States. A total of 13,386 pizzas were needed to feed VF domestic employees on August 19, 1998 at a special corporate pizza party.

VF Corporation, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Greensboro, NC, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of apparel including the Lee and Wrangler brands. The 1998 VF Day was the company's way of showing appreciation to its domestic employees and for the unity among its different brands.

The event was the brainchild of the public relations firm of GCI Group located in New York. They received recognition this year from the Public Relations Society of America for creating the best employee communications effort of 1998.
