Franchise News Release: Greenville, NC - (Mar-2-2006) Liberty Fitness Signs First Franchise Agreement for North CarolinaLiberty Fitness, the industry’s first women’s fitness concept to offer a personalized, “total body” approach to fitness, nutrition and wellness in a spa-like boutique environment, announced today the signing of an agreement with William Monk to develop 44 Liberty Fitness units in North Carolina over the next six years. Monk anticipates opening his first Liberty Fitness Club in Greenville in mid-summer 2006. “After researching several Franchise options, it became apparent that Liberty Fitness was the best fit for me as a quality Business Opportunity and as a new offering for the Greenville community,” Monk said. “I look forward to introducing Greenville area women to the Liberty Fitness lifestyle and expanding Liberty Fitness throughout North Carolina.” After spending the majority of his career working for his family’s tobacco company, Monk decided to venture on his own and find a franchise concept that is geared toward helping people. “Although there were many franchise opportunities, I decided to go with Liberty Fitness for several reasons,” Monk said. “First, there is a clear and obvious need in our society to take better care of our bodies and minds through fitness, nutrition and wellness. Second, the characteristics of the business were attractive. It is a membership based business with a pleasing environment and positive atmosphere that is supported by an experienced management team dedicated to quality customer service and franchisee support. And finally, I have always enjoyed the personal satisfaction and reward of helping others, and the Liberty Fitness concept clearly has the ability to make a real difference in people’s lives. “ Liberty Fitness is the first women’s fitness club to offer a comprehensive fitness, nutrition and wellness program with the personal touch of individualized trainers in a boutique environment. The fitness program is centered around a 30-minute circuit training workout featuring six-level, adjustable hydraulic strength training and cardiovascular equipment. Additional strength training and aerobics equipment, including classes, will also be available at the Greenville club. Also, Liberty Fitness’s “My Women’s Health Club System” allows members to personally adjust and manage their nutritional and exercise regimens based on individual goals. Liberty Fitness also has multiple wellness components that include sauna and massage amenities for members to “treat” themselves, as well as new technology from Polar BodyAge that provides the ability to set body specific workout goals and monitor workout results. “As an experienced business professional with great entrepreneurial success, we anticipate a fulfilling future for William Monk with Liberty Fitness,” said Linda Burzynski, CEO of Liberty Fitness. “William has the area knowledge and drive to bring Liberty Fitness to the forefront of the women’s fitness industry in Greenville and North Carolina.” About Liberty Fitness Liberty Fitness is the industry’s first women’s fitness concept to address “total body” wellness, including a 30-minute circuit training workout featuring six-level adjustable hydraulic strength training and cardiovascular equipment, attention from personal trainers at every visit and nutritional and health education all in a spa-like boutique environment.
