KNIGHTS INN CHAIN JOINS GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

 Knights Franchise Systems Inc. announced it is now participating in the electronic travel marketplace known as Global Distribution Systems, utilized by more than 180,000 travel agencies and millions of Internet users to book airline tickets, hotels and rental cars.

Travel agents and Internet users alike can now book room reservations at Knights Inn hotels worldwide through the four principal GDS providers: Galileo, Sabre, Worldspan and Amadeus.

"The GDS providers link Knights Inn properties with consumer Internet services, major corporations, the U.S. government and travel agencies in thousands of locations worldwide," said Anthony Falor, Knights Inn president and chief executive officer. "Clearly, the GDS span of outreach presents a great opportunity to introduce our unique and affordable brand to a whole new spectrum of consumers while driving more revenue and incremental business to the brand."

According to industry data, the four key GDS providers generate more than $12.5 billion in hotel revenue annually.
