KidzArt Franchise - Exposure to Art Ed Can Impact Development of Young Children

Art can be second nature to young pre-school age children. After all, they usually begin scribbling before they can complete a full sentence. Parents and experts are continuing to explore how the experimentation and creative elements associated with art can enhance the total development of very young children, ages 2 to 3½.

"Squiggles to Grins" is a specialized program for kids ages 2 to 3 ½ that offers this age group their first exposure to organized art. This 30 to 45-minute program introduces children to lines, shapes and the experimentation of creating original art with the security of a parent being present.

"The 'Mommy and me' element of our new program allows preschoolers to try new things and explore fresh ideas in a fun, nurturing environment," says Herman. The new KidzArt class is enhanced by original sing-along songs created by Parents' Choice Award winning KidzArt singer/songwriters. Music, storytelling and poetry elements, themed to the art project, are added to the program to further encourage creative tendencies in the younger children.

"Our interactive, hands-on program allows 2 and 3 year olds to use their imaginations and express themselves while relating with kids their own age," says Herman. "This opportunity for exploration and new communication through art greatly contributes to each child's growth and development."
