In a bold move to incorporate the use of a solutions-based selling model in its Printing franchise systems, the International Center for Entrepreneurial Development (ICED) introduces Arvind Gupta as chairman and CEO of Kwik Kopy Printing, The Ink Well, Franklin’s Printing, Copy Club and Kwik Kopy Business Centers.

“As the owner of the number one center in the ICED Franchise system, Arvind Gupta has vision and the leadership capabilities to evolve our printing brands to meet the needs of today's customer,” says Jim Hadfield, vice chairman of ICED. “His track record speaks for itself, and his willingness to share his knowledge and assist fellow owners has already commanded a high level of credibility and respect within the system. Gupta and his family bought an existing center in Virginia in 1987, and have grown the business into a multi-million dollar enterprise. “Industry research indicates that value-added services are the wave of the future,” says Gupta. “There should be a natural progression in our businesses to offer these services in order to differentiate ourselves from the competition.”

Gupta sees digital printing as an increasingly powerful communications tool and advocates its integration into a printer’s marketing, customer service, IT and management strategies. “Our Printing franchises have the opportunity to be leaders in this market,” says Gupta. “In our changing industry, we must move away from the production-driven mindset to giving clients a package deal – providing a complete end-to-end marketing solution.”
