Huddle House Recognizes Franchisees for Excellence in 1999

DECATUR, Georgia (September 16, 1999) -- HUDDLE HOUSE franchisees, James and Marilyn Bowen, of Blackshear, Ga., have received the company's Hall of Fame Award for meritorious service, and Kay Wilder, of Greenville, S.C., has been named HUDDLE HOUSE's Operator of the Year for 1999.

Bowen has also been named chairman of HUDDLE HOUSE's franchise Advisory Board for the second straight year.

Awards were presented to these top HUDDLE HOUSE franchisees during the Gala Ball at HUDDLE HOUSE's annual convention, held this past summer at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Other HUDDLE HOUSE franchisees and employees honored in recent Franchise Award ceremonies include: Lucy Blackmon, of Sun Rise Foods, Inc., Franchise Area Supervisor of the Year; Frank Young, corporate Field Service Representative of the Year; Wayne and Mary Harrison, of Yulee, Fla., Rookie Franchisee of the Year; David and Peggy Sartin, first place, Outstanding Multi-Unit Sales Increase; Susan Rainwater, of New Albany, Miss., first place, Outstanding Sales Volume for a Unit; Lester Dollar, of Vienna, Ga., first place, Outstanding Sales Increase.

James Melvin, of Americus, Ga., first place, Outstanding New Unit Sales; Kay Wilder, of Greenville, S.C., first place, Christmas Day Sales over $5,000; Jachat, Inc., of Greenwood, S.C., Christmas Day Sales over $4,000; and Kin Folks Food, of Valdosta, Ga., first place, Christmas Day Sales over $3,500.

Phil Greifeld, CEO and president of HUDDLE HOUSE, Inc., offered congratulations and praise to Bowen, Wilder and HUDDLE HOUSE's other top-producing franchisees for 1999.
