HANDYPRO EXPANDS Adds Five New Locations

According to one Michigan handyman franchise, the current economy has homeowner’s in a "nesting,"  mode making home improvements to create more enjoyable living areas.   This in turn is creating big demand for home service industry Franchises like HandyPro International.  

"It shows the demand for professional handyman services continue to exist, even in a down economy,” says HP founder, Keith Paul, who is also radio talk show host for WAAM, Ann Arbor’s “It’s Your Home” Show.

While you wouldn’t think that in a depressed market like Detroit, homeowners would have discretionary money to spend, the demand for handyman services has grown so much that HandyPro International, a Michigan based Franchise company has opened a second company location to meet demand of residential and commercial clients in need of handyman services. 

This demand is also reflected in franchise growth.  The company recently awarded four franchises in Atlanta, GA, Colorado Springs, CO, and Charlotte, NC and expects to triple the number of locations in the U.S. by year end.

Paul’ company HandyPro LLC, recently joined AFS Group of Company founders, Greg Longe and John Lynch in June 2009 to more aggressively develop the brand nationally and internationally.   

Longe and Lynch are well known franchisors in Michigan and the U.S.    Paul merged resources of his 13 year old handyman company with AFS Group of Companies to form HandyPro International, a residential and commercial handyman franchise.
The partnership mergers resources in operations, training and marketing.

According to Greg Longe, AFS managing partner and former CEO and President of the Mr. Handyman franchise, the Pro Crew scheduling center housed at the AFS headquarters, a 56,000   square foot facility in Warren, Michigan is one of the biggest competitive advantages to the HandyPro concept and future growth.

"In the home service business, the ability to professionally field customer calls and book appointments on behalf of franchisees is one of our biggest competitive differences," says Longe.
