haircolorxpress Sells First Territory in Midwest, Expands Development in Northeast
haircolorxpress International (HCX), the nation's first franchisor of salons offering affordable hair-color and custom-blended cosmetic services, today announced that it has sold its first territory in the Midwest and signed three development-agents contracts in the Northeast.
The territories, which include Minnesota, New York City, Connecticut and Boston, represent a commitment to develop 407 salons over the next eight years and increase the company's holdings to 15 territories sold and 1,583 salons planned for development in the United States. haircolorxpress sold the new territories to:
- Haircolorxpress Development of Minnesota LLC, a group whose principals include Dale and Kelly Renner and Gail Cannon. Dale Renner most recently served as CEO of Seisint, an information management and technology company based in Boca Raton, Fla. He was previously a managing partner with Accenture. Kelly Renner previous served as vice president of marketing with Via World Network, a Minneapolis-based travel technology company. Cannon has served for four years as sales manager with the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
- HCX Development of Big Apple LLC, a group led by George Stein and Brian Stolar that covers New York City's five boroughs, as well as Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties. Since 1976, Stein has served as president and CEO of VIP Caterers of Boca Raton, Fla. Stolar is the founder and president of Pinnacle Communities, a Milburn, N.J.-based developer of high-end residential homes in New Jersey and Connecticut.
- Haircolorxpress Development of Connecticut Inc., whose principals include Leonard Albanese and Richard Corraro. Albanese is founder and president of Leonard Albanese & Sons, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based company that specializes in land acquisition, development and the construction of high-end, luxury residences. Corraro is president of Carr's Ice Cream, an ice-cream distribution company based in Bridgeport, Conn.
- Haircolorxpress Development of Massachusetts Inc., whose principles include Leonard Alabanese and Steve Frohn and covers the counties of Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Barnstable and Nantucket. Frohn previously served for five years as senior vice president of Cummings Properties LLC, a commercial real estate development and property management firm located in Woburn, Mass.

The upscale, modern facilities offer a menu of hair-color services ranging from a single-process hair coloring, which starts at $20, to blonding, which starts at $65. The salons feature a cyber-imaging computer that enables clients to preview desired color shades to ensure they select the perfect color combination. haircolorxpress' beauty advisors create custom-blended cosmetics, including lipstick and foundation, that complement the clients' hair color.
